
After taking some time off to complete a Post Graduate Diploma in Digital Business from Columbia Business School and MIT Sloane School of Business, I was approached for the role of CTO at Reflex Solutions.
In this role I was responsible for:
- Advanced Networking which includes Reflex’s national MPLS Network as well as all Customer connectivity services.
- Unified Communications which provides VoiP telephony, call centre and unified communications services to customers.
- Cloud Computing and Workplace Management which provides private cloud hosting and SaaS services as well as end user management and support services to customers.
- Managed Cybersecurity which provides managed security services and solutions to customers.
My work with major global vendors like Fortinet, Avaya, Microsoft, and VMware ensures that businesses leverage best-in-class technology solutions.
While at Reflex, I developed the new Managed Cybersecurity Product and Go-to-Market strategy and implemented an MSP Partnership with Arctic Wolf.

Engaged by Vumatel’s CEO to analyse the Business Strategy, Operating Model and Organisation Design to determine an appropriate approach to digitally transform the organisation and to make provision for the introduction of a number of new products and services over 3 – 5 years.
Developed a Target Information Systems Architecture and Roadmap to support the Digitalisation Strategy over a 3 – 5 year time horizon including leveraging the TM Forum Open API and Frameworx 17 assets to ensure best practise B2B interoperability of the architecture.
Designed, initiated and managed a business programme to develop and implement a common external API for Service Providers to seamlessly integrate with Vuma’s systems across the Fulfilment and Assurance process domains.

Engaged by Globetom, a leading South African solutions provider and TMF member and contributor, to assist MTN Group to develop the Best Practices and Guidelines for API Management as part of MTN’s transformation programme to a fully fledged Digital Services Provider across all its markets.
Best Practices and Guidelines included, API Inception, API Design, API DevOps and Quality Assurance, API Reference Architecture, API Governance Team Constitution & Structuring, API Monetisation, API Monitoring & Auditing, Developer Onboarding.

Working closely with Nashua’s CIO and COO as an independent business, IT and management consultant including:
- Independent review of IT/IS organisation focusing on Governance, Organisational Design and Technology Architecture
- Developed a Portfolio Pipeline Management method to address technology service demand
- Developed an approach, Requirements definition and Request for Proposal for an IT Service Management solution to support Nashua’s remote, on-site and field services function
- Assisted to evaluate and select an ITSM solution and preferred service provider
- Assisted the internal development team to formalise and improve governance on internal custom development and support services
- Assisted the internal development team to evaluate and determine the feasibility of a Microsoft CRM platform upgrade initiative
- Supported the office of the COO to research, analyse and develop a Shared Service capability as part of the organisation’s business strategy
- Customised the Portfolio Pipeline Management method to include evaluation of non-IT or business related projects against business benefit and cost, complexity and impact.
